Introduction

The EMobDa software is a database program, which will be usable on different OSes (Window, Linux, Mac, ...), with different interfaces (WEB or native) and in different contexts (mono-user or multi-user, locally, or remotely via a client/server configuration). It also aims to be be highly configurable, by using XUL, XHTML and XSL.

exmid converts a MIDI file to an XML file and resulting XML file back to MIDI. The initial and final MIDI files are strictly identical.

The main purpose od tihs tool is to allow tools such as CVS to better handle MIDI files. MIDI files are binary files, which can only be handled by CVS using the --kb option, which presents some withdraws. To prevent the use of this option, exmid can be used to convert the MIDI file to XML, which is a text format, before putting it to CVS repositor…

expp is a tool which transforms an XML file to another XML file, by using tags owned by a given namespace (xpp by default, but you can change it). This tags allow to handle macros, to affect value to variables and to test their values, to include files, ... In a glance, expp aims to be to XML what cpp is to C/C++.

The Epeios libraries provide a communication protocol which is used between frontend and backend. Using this communication protocol allows to separate interface (frontend) part of a software from its processing (backend) part, increasing the reliability and the maintainability of the software.

Introduction

The Roland VK-77 organ is an Hammond-like organ. It has 128 registrations and, for each, there are plenty of parameters. I've found that programming this registrations with the organ inerface is painfull, so I've developed a software which allows to program the registrations using a computer.
